Talks and press
-
RECOMMENDED! July 2024: A talk about polarization with Vanessa Otero, a media bias analyst and founder of Ad Fontes Media. Vanessa asks great questions regarding the skepticism some have about depolarization efforts. A good intro for people new to these ideas.
-
July 2024: A talk with Pastor Matthew Best. Matthew is a Lutheran pastor and has a show called Impolite Company. We talk about toxic polarization, with some religion-related angles in the mix.
-
April 2024: A talk for my own podcast with David A. Foster about which it makes more sense to focus on to reduce toxic polarization: making systemic changes or changing the culture.
-
July 2023: A talk with "Wilk" Wilkerson. Wilk works with Braver Angels and hosts the Derate The Hate podcast. I appreciate his work and he asks some good questions on some granular topics.
-
April 2023: A Trump voter and a "woke" liberal agree about polarization. This was a video I made to help demonstrate that we can hugely disagree on issues while agreeing that toxic polarization is a major problem. It includes an intro with my main ideas (at the time, anyway) on how to solve this problem.
-
May 2023: A talk with Toby Davis for the Unity Now! podcast.
-
May 2023: A 12-minute talk with Maxwell Nosbisch, who hosts the First Amendment Museum's conversation series.
